Revisit of this years Wildflower Meadow. This Wildflower Turf has been laid at the beginning of April and is already showing lots of colour. First Plats in flower are Dianthus, Salvias, Sea thrifts, Purple Mullein, Oxeye Daisy and Scabious.

I am just working on a lovely planting scheme.
We improved the clay soil by working in tonnes of quality compost to ensure healthy growth for the planting.
Dynamic structures and yellow and purple perennials will remind the client of our moor lands.

We have deturfed & rotavated the ground and worked a tonne of fine sand into it to lower the fertility and improve the soil texture.

Habitat creation can happen in any ones garden - no matter what size it is.

I created a micro wildflower meadow in todays garden. A rich offer of diverse flowers for our pollinators. It enriches the space with colour and buzzing in summer and makes great use out of an unused area.

It has been a great journey so far.
Challenging weather conditions for digger works. Sliding tractors during rotavating process. A lot of rocks and roots to pick up. Turf edging by hand. 8 tonnes of Sand. Levelling and raking by hand. And a lot of rain and mud.
All in all it went really well for spring. Great timing. Nice and wet conditions which we need at this time of the year to get the Wildflower Meadow going.
And it is all laid now. And ready to thrive. The seeds are going in next week on a dry day to fill out all the open spaces around the Wildflower Turf.
These Meadows will look stunning. What a beautiful project.

What a great day! Our Wildflower turf has finally arrived and we layed 10 out of 12 pallets within 4 hours in this crazy weather. Not bad, not bad.
Absolutely impressed with the quality and flower diversity of the turf. Nothing else to expect from @pictorialmeadows .
I just can't wait to see it all in bloom by the end of the season.
