Soil, the core and heart of your garden.

Soil health is the most important part in your garden. Healthy soil is the foundation of a thriving garden, happy plants and inhabitants.

Feed your soil, not your plants.

Mulching & Groundcover

Soil is a living organism, better said a community of organisms supporting life. These do need feeding which is found in a natural environment through dropping leaves and dying plants. Only a well fed soil is able to support its surrounding plants with nutrients and retain water even in times of droughts. We never use fertilizers as there is no need for it as long as we feed the ground.

Another benefit of healthy soil is the reduction of undesirable weeds as only a struggling soil is trying to heal its surface by shooting out pioneer weeds.

To achieve this in your garden we can offer multiple methods depending on space and location via mulching or planting ground cover.

Composting Systems

If the space allows it, a compost system on your land will be highly advised to produce compost/ mulching material.

Producing your own compost is not only cost free, it is sustainable, reduces your waste and is eco friendly as you won’t need to buy-in compost packaged in plastic.

We offer the service of advising you where to place your system, what to buy, how to use it right and even the build.

The Benefits of No-Dig Gardening

Our no-dig method is a sustainable, low-effort solution for creating healthy, productive garden beds. By laying a thick layer of cardboard over areas with annual weeds (removing unwanted perennials when possible) and topping it with a 10 cm layer of compost, we suppress weed growth while improving soil health.

This approach offers several benefits:

Soil Health: No-dig preserves the natural structure and beneficial organisms in the soil, such as worms and microbes, which help break down organic matter and improve plant growth.

Weed Control: The cardboard and compost act as a barrier, smothering weeds and reducing the need for constant weeding.

Sustainability: It recycles organic matter and reduces soil disturbance, minimizing carbon release and supporting biodiversity.

Ease and Accessibility: No heavy digging or tilling is required, making it a great option for gardeners of all abilities.

With this method, you can create vibrant, fertile beds that are kind to both your back and the environment. Perfect for growing flowers, vegetables, or a mix of both!
